I hosted the Bossy Scrapper Challenge on Sunday night at Scrapbooking by Design
These are the instructions I gave everyone over the course of about 90 minutes.
Find one 12×12 sheet of cardstock to use as a background
Select a co-ordinating piece of cardstock and cut a 5″ round circle out of it. Set aside.
Select 3 co-ordinating patterned papers. From patterned paper #1 cut a rectangle measuring 7.5″ high by 4″ wide.Label on back, #1. Set aside. From patterned paper #2 cut a rectangle measuring 4″ high by 7.5″ wide.Label on back, #2. Set aside. From patterned paper #3 cut a rectangle measuring 6″ high by 4″ wide.Label on back,#3. Set aside.
Find 2 photos & crop if necessary. The larger photo is 4″ wide by 6″ high and the smaller photo is 2″ wide by 3″ high. Set aside.Ink the circle, rectangles & photos if desired.
Place circle in upper left corner leaving a 1″ gap from the left edge & a 1/4″ gap from the top edge of cardstock.Adhere to cardstock.
Place rectangle #1, 2″ down & 2″ to the right from the upper left corner of the background cardstock.( you will be overlapping the circle) Adhere.
Place rectangle #2,overlapping rectangle #1, leaving a 1/2″ gap on the left and bottom. Adhere.
Place rectangle #3, overlapping rectangle #2, leaving a 1/4″ gap on the left and bottom. Tilt rectangle slightly to the left. Adhere.
Place photo #1(large photo) on rectangle #3, leaving a 3/4″ gap on the left side and a 1/4″ gap at the top. Do not tilt photo. Adhere.
Find 2 pieces of ribbon, one is 11″ long and 1″ wide and the 2nd piece is 10″ long and 3/4″ wide.
Place the 11″ ribbon horizontally 1/4″ from the left edge of the cardstock and 1/4″ from the bottom edge of the photo. Adhere. Place the 10″ ribbon horizontally 1″ from the left edge of the cardstock, overlapping the 11″ ribbon so that only 1/2″ of the bottom ribbon is visible. Adhere.
Place photo#2, 2 1/2″ from the right edge of the cardstock, 3 1/2″ from the bottom edge of the cardstock. (photo overlaps photo #1 & rectangle #2) Adhere.
Find a 1x 1/2″ embellishment (heart, star, flower etc), 3x 1″ flowers & 3 buttons or brads.
Place large embellishment on ribbons at right edge of rectangle #2 (this embellishment will overlap the small photo) Adhere.
Attach buttons or brads to flowers. Place flower #1 on ribbons, with centre of flower on top of left edge of rectangle #1. Place remaining flowers on ribbon between flower #1 and small photo. Adhere.
Place journalling to the right of large photo and above rectangle #2. Place a short title on background cardstock below rectangle #2 and small photo.
